What Samsung Galaxy Cases fit what? A Compatibility Guide for your Phone
You've got yourself a new Samsung Galaxy and now you need a brand new phone case. But now you're thinking, can I save money by using my old Samsung Galaxy case? We'll give you all the details to help you find a new phone case below.
Unfortunately, you won't be able to use your old phone case with your brand new Samsung Galaxy. Mobile phone companies are always changing screen size, thickness, dimensions and camera size and positions so it's unlikely you'd be able to use your old phone case. Even though you may think it may fit, you want your phone case to fit snug and secure in your case and not be too loose or tight.
We'll break down the details even further below and answer any of your frequently asked questions.
Do Samsung Galaxy S20/S21 Cases fit the Samsung Galaxy S2-0 FE/S21 FE?
If you're thinking about getting the Samsung Galaxy FE edition and upgrading from your Samsung Galaxy S20 or S21, you're going to ask yourself if you can use the same case. Unfortunately not.
The FE editions are the cheaper option from the standard galaxy series but offer a different range of specs such as camera sizes, screen dimensions and processing power. Therefore, they differ in size, thickness and weight.
To confirm further, both plus and ultra versions of each series will not fit the FE edition either.
Do Samsung Galaxy phones of the same series fit one another?
Let's say you have a Samsung Galaxy S21 and you're thinking of upgrading to the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra for its better camera. Will your old phone case fit?
Yet again, unfortunately not.
The Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra is heavier than the standard Galaxy S21 and has a larger screen size of 6.9 inches.
This is true with the Samsung S20 and the Samsung S20 Ultra.
What about older phones like the Samsung S10 Series?
We think by now you can guess about the Samsung 10 series. There are four versions of the Samsung Galaxy S10: The standard S10, The S10E, The S10 Plus and the S10 5G. All four of these phones follow different dimensions, displays and cameras. While they all make look similar, there is a vast difference in weight and size since the S10 5G version needs a larger battery to sustain 5G connectivity.
It's safe to say that when you upgrade your Samsung Galaxy phone, it's likely you'll need to upgrade your phone case with it. If you've got a brand new phone, why not get a brand-new phone case to go with it?
We believe you should get the correct case for your phone for maximum protection and reliability against drops, scuffs and scratches.
